Joel Salatin

Joel Salatin is an American Farmer, lecturer and author whose books include Folks, This Ain't Normal, Salad Bar Beef and You Can Farm. Mr. Salatin raises livestock using holistic management methods of animal husbandry, free of harmful chemicals, on his Polyface Farm in Virginia. He sells his meat directly to consumers and restaurants encouraging consumers to support local farmers, and he does a lot of work to to foster the transition to new ways of thinking about our food.

We got to tour Polyface Farm owned by Joel Salatin. He gave the staff of Homesteaders of America a personal tour and spoke about how he manages his operation. Color us inspired!
